Who doesn’t love guac? Whenever someone asks, what’s your favorite snack – without a doubt my answer is chips and guac. I recently went to Natura Cafe which has one of the best avo toasts in the city (and I’ve had my fare share of avocado toasts, as you can imagine), we ordered chips and guac for the table but had me thinking it’s time to whip up a batch of my own.
I’m a salt LOVER. Like seriously, I put salt on everything and you know my response when people give me shade for it…minerals people! A good Himalayan Pink salt is the key in this recipe. Pair with a good chip (see below for some of my faves) and I swear there is no snack more satisfying. I also love cutting up a bunch of veg like cucumbers, peppers and carrots to dip too so I don’t overload on chips. In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo, I’ll be throwing this on top of my tacos this weekend. What’s your favorite vegan Mexican dish?
INGREDIENTS (ALL ORGANIC WHEN POSSIBLE):
- 4 ripe avocados
- Juice of 1 lime
- 3/4 of diced tomato
- 1/4 diced red onion
- Salt to taste
- Simply mash all ingredients in a bowl with fork and serve!
