LA Food Guide via @DylRudolph

On Dylan’s last visit to LA she did a full food guide for all the best vegan spots in town and how to order at all the non-vegan hot spots. See below for restaurant and ordering recommendations. We also included some of my other favorite restaurants and dishes I would order off the menu at each one. Comment below with your favorites from these spots or any restaurants we need to try next time we’re in town.

Earth Bar: Great for all organic juices and smoothies. I picked juices from their menu but you can also make your own (got the Belly Well almost every morning and had so much energy all day from it).

  • Liver Cleanse: Ginger, lemon, beet, apple, aloe
  • Belly Well: Lime, fennel, mint, apple, ginger, cucumber

Hugo’s: My go-to spot in the morning/afternoons to meet people for breakfast, a meeting or just get some work done on your own. You can be as annoying as you want here with ordering (super important for us vegans as we’re always subbing something). Most dishes are already vegan but if you want anything made vegan from the menu – just ask!

  • Tofu scramble w/ mushrooms, onion, spinach and avocado
  • Side of quinoa
  • Side of veggie bacon
  • Almond energy pancakes

Other options:

  • Good morning energy cereal w/ almond milk
  • Mexican salad (made vegan)
  • Avocado hummus wrap
  • Club sandwich made w/ veggie bacon
  • Hugo’s veggie burger
  • Vegan mac & cheese
  • Vegan spinach & artichoke dip

Kreation: I love their pre-made drinks. This matcha was the perfect pick me up in the middle of the day. They also have great little snacks like energy balls and bars for when you’re on the go.

  • Matcha green tea latte

Erewhon: This super market is like whole foods on crack. It also costs a pretty penny no matter what you get. Let’s just say I went here every day I was in town to grab lunch from their to-go counter. The amount of vegan options will blow your mind! Also, please excuse my picture – this was my second go round one day..
