This is a great example of the 20% of the time that I don’t follow my own food combining guidelines (fruit is best with greens or alone on an empty stomach). I like to enjoy my food and if there are times I want to mix things a certain way, I fully indulge without any guilt. Ingredients (All Organic)

  • ½ cup of coconut water
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • ¼ cup of baby spinach
  • Gluten free granola
  • Unsweetened coconut chips
  • Ground flax seeds
  • Strawberries


  1. Place ½ cup coconut water, 2 frozen bananas and ¼ cup of baby spinach in blender
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Place smoothie in a bowl (or 2- one for you, one for your mini)
  4. Top with gluten free granola with ground flax seeds over granola
  5. Top with unsweetened coconut chips
  6. Cut strawberries
  7. Top with strawberries
